Tyler Village is a modern 75 bed facility with a secure dementia unit and is located in a peaceful and relaxed part of town. The facility is surrounded by open expanses of green grass and natural bush, with the luxury of still only being minutes from the heart of residential Prospect. Tyler Village is close to multiple doctor’s surgeries and is only a brief walk to the Prospect Vale Marketplace and Olde Tudor Shopping Complex. Regular local bus services are available to all city suburbs including the City Centre.Room Options 75 beds (12 secure dementia unit) 6 wings. All rooms are identical with their own ensuite. Each wing has the same layout.  Team Structure Our team consists of clinical staff and specialists including registered nurses and personal care assistants available on-call, 24-hours a day. A social care team deals with activities and therapy. Team members are passionate, caring and friendly and go above and beyond to build a genuine rapport with residents. Care Structure We offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of services including: Residential aged care Palliative care Secure dementia care Respite care Provided Services With attention to the complete health and wellbeing of our residents, the services we offer combine specialist care with quality of life. Beyond our standard care offerings, further services accommodate specific needs of residents. Dedicated specialists like podiatrists, optometrists and speech therapists make frequent visits, along with a contracted team of physiotherapists for mobility and pain management. Hairdressers come in weekly and are available by appointment, as are dieticians. Food & Diet Healthy and balanced meal choices are always available and prepared by a full-time chef, on-site. A variety of meals cater to resident’s preferences and dietary requirements. The menu changes weekly and is on a four-week rotation. Fresh food arrives throughout the week and is provided locally through the Oscar Hospitality Program. Activities & Excursions Entertainment is coordinated by the leisure and lifestyle team who look after events, concerts and activities which happen over a monthly social calendar. Bus trips to nearby locations happen twice a month.
With beautiful views over the Tamar River and Launceston, Aldersgate Village provides a variety of living options for independent seniors. The lifestyle incorporates privacy and offers a supportive environment with careful consideration given to resident’s security. Set amongst beautifully maintained gardens, BBQ facilities and village green, we offer both independent living and social housing options. Ingoing contributions are applicable for independent living, while fortnightly rentals are payable for social and affordable housing. Residents have the opportunity to join a variety of social activities at our co-located residential aged care community. You may also access our home care services on a fee-for-service basis or through the Federal Government-subsidised Support at Home program.

This contribution is held in trust for the resident during their stay.  It is refunded when they leave, with a small amount retained by the facility. Uniting AgeWell maintains the buildings and communal gardens of all its independent living options on behalf of residents. No referral is required for Uniting AgeWell’s independent retirement living, community or social housing units.Uniting AgeWell may also provide support at home services such as domestic assistance and personal care. These additional services are available on a fee-for-service basis or through the Federal Government-subsidised Support at Home program.  A Uniting AgeWell team member is happy to meet with you to discuss your circumstances and housing requirements, and can arrange an inspection of the appropriate units in your area.
