An entry contribution is required for retirement living units. This contribution is held in trust for the resident during their stay. It is refunded when they leave, with a small amount retained by the facility. A daily service fee, which covers a range of services, is also required.
Community and social housing options charge weekly rent based on the resident’s income and require a rental bond.
Uniting AgeWell maintains the buildings and communal gardens of all its independent living options on behalf of residents.
No referral is required for Uniting AgeWell’s independent retirement living, community or social housing units.Uniting AgeWell may also provide support at home services such as domestic assistance and personal care. These additional services are available on a fee-for-service basis or through the Federal Government-subsidised Support at Home program.
