At Regis Home Care Tasmania, we assist older people residing in the community to remain living at home safely and comfortably, whilst also staying connected with others.
We offer a number of weekly groups for older people to come together and spend time with friends. Based out of our Day Respite Centre in Launceston, our groups provide an opportunity for your loved one to socialise with peers whilst enjoying activities tailored to the interests and needs of the group. Some of the activities include:
- Arts & crafts
- Nature walks
- Local outings
- Puzzles, games and cards
- Gentle exercise
- Reading & chatting about the news
- Guest performers and speakers
- Bus trips
- Theme days
- BBQ’s & picnics
Transport to and from the Centre can be arranged, and morning/afternoon tea and lunch are provided with consideration to dietary requirements.
In Home Support
We also offer quality in-home services for those who need a little bit of extra help. If your loved one would benefit from some company or assistance while you are away, we can arrange visits to the home with one of our friendly Home Support Workers. Whether it’s having some assistance getting up and about, lending a hand around the house, or simply a chat over a cup of tea, we’re here to provide personalised care and support your loved one while you take the time you need.
Accessing Our Services
As our services are subsidised by the Australian Government, some eligibility criteria apply. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about our programs, costs, and how to get started. To find out more, call us for a chat on 1300 188 740 today and let us know how we can help you.
