Eliza Purton Home is a 96-bed facility with a secure dementia unit, located on a hill overlooking the town of Ulverstone with spectacular views of the Leven River, surrounding mountains and the ocean. The Eliza Purton Home was officially opened in 1964 on land generously donated by Ulverstone local William Purton. The home is named after Mr Purton’s beloved mother, Eliza. Rooms There are four types of rooms available: standard, premium, deluxe & superior. All rooms have private ensuites. The dementia units occupy the newer portion.The original home was built in 1964 with extra wings added in 1995 and a major renovation completed in 2021.Team Structure Eliza Purton is one of the biggest employers on the northwest coast of Tasmania.
