MercyCare strives to make our facilities feel as close as possible to a regular home. MercyCare Joondalup, located 26 kilometres north of Perth, is welcoming and comfortable for both residents and visitors. MercyCare employees provide a happy, vibrant atmosphere and cultivate a community spirit. The facility is suitable for residents who have dementia.
Our two-storey residential aged care facility is situated on the edge of Lake Joondalup nature reserve and is conveniently positioned within a short distance from restaurants, cafeterias, movie theatres, specialty stores and Joondalup Hospital.
Inside the 105 room residency, you will find a collection of generously furnished living areas where residents gather for quiet conversation or a friendly game of cards. The dining areas are spacious providing ample room for the full complement of residents to dine in comfort. Our onsite in-house catering team serve an array of nutritious, home-style meals, six times a day. Visitors are welcome to make themselves a cuppa using the tea and coffee making facilities.
Our Joondalup facility offers different accommodation options to meet the changing needs of the community. We offer generously sized (approximately 16 sqm) single rooms with their own private ensuite bathroom and a small number of shared/couples rooms (averaging 20 sqm) which also include a shared ensuite bathroom. Each room has a built-in wardrobe, over bed table, specialised electric care bed, reverse cycle air conditioning/heating to ensure year round comfort, a centrally monitored response system and a wall mounted flat screen TV.
A wide variety of leisure activities are offered to cater for individual interests and tastes and to engage with the wider community.
In addition to providing a home-away-from-home, MercyCare Joondalup offers the following services at no extra cost: specialist dedicated pastoral care, occupational therapy, physical therapy, hand and body massage and wi-fi in the central lounge rooms. Optional extras, which are not included in the accommodation rate for the room, include hairdressing, a tagging service for electrical appliances and a daily or weekly newspaper.
