About MIFANT
The Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT) (MIFANT) has been supporting individuals and families across the Northern Territory for over 30 years. We provide recovery-oriented services tailored to meet the unique needs of people living with mental health challenges, their families, and carers.
Our NDIS Services
At MIFANT, we proudly offer a range of services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Darwin to support participants in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives. Our NDIS services include:
• Support Coordination and/or Recovery Coaching: Helping participants navigate the NDIS and coordinate tailored supports.
• Group and Centre-Based Activities: Providing opportunities for skill development, social engagement, and community connection.
• Social & Community Participation: Supporting involvement in recreational, cultural, and social activities.
• Short Term Accommodation: Temporary housing options for participants requiring short-term care.
Non-NDIS Services
MIFANT also delivers a range of programs to support mental health and well-being outside the NDIS framework.
In Darwin, these services include:
• MiPlace Hub: A safe and welcoming space offering mental health support and community connection.
• Cool Program: Social outings designed to foster connection and reduce isolation.
• Individual Support: One-on-one guidance from lived experience peer workers to navigate mental health challenges.
• Respite Services: Short-term accommodation for individuals and their carers.
In Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, our MiTrack Program provides early intervention services for children and young people at risk of developing mental health challenges.
