Kowanyama Aged Care Services

Services provided by Kowanyama Aged Care are delivered with cultural sensitivity, we provide Meals on wheels which consists of breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday plus a weekend pack to provide food for two days. Clients have a choice of if and when they receive meals on wheels. Transport is provided to assist access to community services and appointments. Staff provide assistance with maintaining the home environment with domestic / laundry assistance and yard maintenance as requested. Social support Individual is provided to assist with shopping, social and cultural needs when required, social support group brings family and friends together fishing , hunting  yarning  and bush tucker.

Kowanyama Aged Care also provide support for carers with flexible respite to enable them to continue caring for their family member in the community for as long as possible with the support of the Primary Health Clinic in Kowanyama.
