Donovan House Respite Centre in Forrestfield provides an essential service to carers in the local community, offering day or overnight respite when needed.

The centre can cater for up to 20 clients per day including five overnight clients.

Day respite is from 9am to 3.30pm unless prior arrangements have been made with the Centre Coordinator and clients can visit on a one-off or regular basis.

Overnight respite is for a 24-hour period and clients can be dropped off from 9am. The centre is open for visitors between 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

Carers can access Government funding for in-home, overnight cottage and day respite through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme/Home Care Package or can choose to pay for respite services privately.
