Isomer Aged Care

IRH Residential Aged Care (ISOMER) is a purpose-built residential aged care facility in Lysterfield. It is a not for profit organisation established in 1997 by the local Muslim community (the Islamic Society of Melbourne Eastern Region).

It is a fully accredited, Government funded facility with provision for permanent and low level respite care. With residents and staff from a broad range of countries, and an equally broad range of spiritual beliefs, the home enjoys a wonderful cultural diversity and prides itself on its successful multicultural integration, including Arabic, Australian, Bengali, Fijian, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Muslim, Polish and Turkish.

IRH Residential Aged Care (ISOMER) is bright and spacious, with well appointed private rooms and ensuite facilities and adjoining rooms available for married residents. Its communal rooms provide residents the opportunity to maintain social interaction with family and friends, old and new. Nutritious home-style meals are prepared by the Chef on-site and served in the dining area overlooking a sunny, central courtyard. The expansive and well maintained gardens include resident garden areas.

Qualified staff provide quality genuine care 24 hours a day, with on-site access to doctors, physiotherapy, pharmacy, podiatry and hairdressing. The home’s vibrant activities program is designed by the residents who are also encouraged to participate in running IRH Residential Aged Care (ISOMER).
