Hinterland Community Care

Hinterland Community Care Inc (HCC) has been providing person centred, individual and group services to the frail aged and younger disabled across approximately 35 thousand square kilometres of the Isaac Region for 23 years. HCC is a community based, not for profit charity that is funded under the Commonwealth Department of Social Services Home Care Program to provide a number of services including domestic assistance, transport, personal care, social support and centre based activities. Our service area covers Dysart, Moranbah, Nebo, Tieri, Middlemount, Coppabella, McKenzie River and Clermont.

Our centre based activities include Hoy, Bingo, Tai Chi, chair exercises and a craft morning. Our values drive our service provision which has a focus on the client’s strengths & maintaining independence to enable them to stay in their homes longer.

Our Disability Service is funded by the State Department of Communities Child Safety and Disability Services to provide flexible respite, and group learning and life skills. We can only provide a service to those people who have been assessed by Disability Services and HCC has received a referral.
