Located in one of North Eastern New South Wales’ most picturesque cities, the 84-bed home overlooks the Clarence River and rural and town landscapes. Towards the end of each year, the town is blanketed in stunning purple flowers when the Jacaranda trees bloom, drawing visitors from all across the state.
There are six main accommodation wings featuring a mix of single rooms and companion rooms, which enable residents to maintain social connections more easily. The 14-bed West Wing has a dedicated palliative care room. There is also the option for family members to stay overnight if they wish.
We encourage residents to socialise in the home's common areas, with lounge and dining rooms throughout the complex. Family members & friends are welcome to visit any time, and can spend time in the home's peaceful gardens or take in the stunning views of the river from the verandah.
Staying active and socialising is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. At Grafton, we run a monthly activity program with activities such as arts, crafts and games, exercise groups as well as movie and theme days. We have a number of volunteers supporting our home and have regular musical performances, fetes, raffles and visits from school & community groups. Grafton is also home to a vibrant multicultural community. We respect all cultures and religions and celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, religious events and special days such as Mother's Day.
