Glenview is an aged care and community services provider situated in Glenorchy – in the northern suburbs of Hobart. Our focus is helping people to live their lives to the full by offering the extra support they may need.
We work on a wellness model of care not a medical model … just because you need some assistance, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a rich and rewarding life!
We provide services to support people to live the life they choose including:
- assistance to help people to remain in their own home; this can be anything from a little to a lot of help
- access to our community centre where clients are welcome to take part in regular activity programming
- cottage or residential respite rooms; we cater for both short and long stays, located in our full residential facility in Glenorchy.
Glenview residential care is our full care option for those who want to live a rich and rewarding life, while having immediate access to help and support when it is needed. We provide an exceptional standard of care, with staff working closely with residents to ensure that all of their needs are met.
Glenview currently provides aged care accommodation to 97 permanent residents. Our rooms are spacious, warm and bright. Each is equipped with electric beds, bedside tables and wardrobes. As a resident, you can decorate your room as you choose to make it as homely as you like. You might like to use some of your own furniture or alternatively, Glenview can work with you to furnish the room.
The majority of our suites have garden outlooks, some with direct garden access and their own patio areas.
Our lounges and dining rooms are warm and inviting. Many feature large picture windows with views of the river or gardens. We have kitchenettes stocked with tea & coffee-making facilities and microwaves, which are free for anyone to use at any time.
Glenview’s skilled and dedicated team include Registered Nurses, Residential Assistants, Allied Health Professionals and our care staff, known as Lifestyle Workers, who provide a high level of service to residents across the home.
As well as permanent residential aged care, Glenview also has respite rooms, enabling a carer to take time out or for a person to have a break from living independently. Respite is also used as a way for a family or an individual to 'try out' residential care and see if it might be an option for them.
Please phone 1800 052 222 to arrange a respite booking.
