Sharing our lives with the elderly, offering them a home where they may find rest, refreshment and value as they journey towards eternal life to the Father’s house: this is the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Set in beautiful gardens in the suburb of Glendalough the Little Sisters of the Poor have built a wonderful community for their residents. “Making the elderly happy, that is everything!” these are the words from our foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan and we take them very seriously.
We offer our residents a home, where they become part of our family. It is a truly unique environment offering a “feel like home” and quality of care. Residents & their families have access to the well maintained grounds & gardens for strolling or sitting. Relax in one of our lounge areas, and a temporary Chapel is available for quiet reflection or prayer.
For Resident lifestyle we offer a varied diversional therapy program. The Leisure and Lifestyle staff in the “Marian Centre” are always looking for reasons to organise a celebration, and are skilfully assisted by the wonderful catering staff. A bus is available to take residents on weekly outings to places of interest.
A fully qualified Chef plans our menu, including celebrations with all meals cooked fresh on-site each day.
