Fig Tree Point enables ageing in place, meaning that we cater for the advancement of a person’s care needs from low level care through to high level care and palliative care, all within a familiar and secure environment. We also offer respite care to allow loved ones to take a break from their daily care responsibilities.

Being an approved Extra Services facility, we are able to provide additional hotel-type services including private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, increased leisure and entertainment activities, and greater meal choices.

Fig Tree Point is part of the Hunter Valley Care family, an Australian, family-owned business providing residential aged care services to the people of Newcastle and the Hunter for over 30 years.

A motel operated on the site prior to Hunter Valley Care acquiring the property in 1991 to develop Fig Tree Point. With each upgrade and expansion, the family has drawn on the beauty of the facility’s unique lakeside setting so that residents can enjoy a comfortable, calm living environment.
