Cockburn Care Social Clubs
About
A number of social clubs run on weekdays at Cockburn Care's Jean Willis building in Hamilton Hill. The clubs are different every day, catering for different groups with different needs and interests. Customised activities and outings are organised for seniors, people with cognitive disabilities and people with dementia. This service helps people get out and about, maintain friendships, stay healthy and keep their skills. We also provide transport.
Kwobarup Aboriginal Social Club
Members of Cockburn’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community agree Kwobarup is ‘A Good Place’ to be among friends. The club, based next to the Jean Willis Centre, Hamilton Hill, is a place where local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability or who are aging can gather for a yarn, enjoy cultural activities or access important health and support services.
