Art of Meaning provides expressive arts therapy, an integrative multi-modal therapy which focuses on the therapeutic aspects of art making. Services are provided either in the home or community located across the Central Coast and Lower Hunter Regions of NSW. Louise Parker the principal Art Therapist draws on a ten year experience assisting people living with disability and psychiatric illness. Offering a person-centred practice for people to express feelings, thought & emotions to increase self belief, discover who they are and release hidden potential. Individual and group therapy provide a melded approach of traditional verbal therapy with non-verbal therapy that is further enhanced by the employment of evidence based practices involved in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. All of these intertwined with complementary therapy models ensure sessions fit the individual needs of clients in her care.
