About
Anglican Care is an innovative community and aged care provider. Operating since 1956, Anglican Care is highly regarded for the quality of care provided to consumers, carers and residents, by our skilled and caring staff. The aged care ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, Anglican Care is a not-for-profit organisation operating throughout the Hunter, Central Coast and Manning Regions.
Anglican Care offers seniors access to a range of day programs that operate from purpose built centres via the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Our programs are delivered using our CHOICE Model which has been developed to meet the needs of seniors who want to remain living independently in the community.
CHOICE is all about what Anglican Care can do to assist you to achieve the goals that will help you to lead a happy life.
We want to work in partnership with you, your family, carers and social networks to ensure a positive ageing experience with opportunities to remain connected with the community.
Our model focuses on the following areas:
- Local Knowledge, Local Pride
- Innovation, Your Way
- Keeping Active, Staying Connected
- Specialised Care for Every Body
- Care for the Carer
And then keep what is already there
ELMDS offers centre-based care in a home like and secure environment for people living with dementia.
The aim of the Centre is to maintain people’s social and self care skills while promoting an individual sense of wellbeing.

- Regular Carer Social Outings
For carers we provide respite care to enable you to take a break and complete all those tasks it’s hard to find time to do. We also provide the opportunity for carers to mix with other carers on our very popular social outings.
Emergency respite care is also for those unexpected times when you may need assistance. This may be for a day or for a short period so you can attend appointments.
Our Younger Onset Dementia Client Program is for people aged up to 66. This program allows us to encourage socialisation and independence with a group of like ages and interests. We understand that younger dementia clients often have differing interests and this program enables us to offer smaller group outings that suit younger clients living with dementia.
