Overview
The Aegis Ascot Transitional Care Program (TCP) is a unique and innovative pilot program, jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments.
It provides short term rehabilitative care for post hospital frail aged or those in the community requiring assistance to maintain independence in either their own home or in a comfortable home like environment.

An elderly close friend of mine was placed in the Ascot branch of AEGIS after spending time in Hospital.
He was depressed, unable to walk unaided and losing weight rapidly.
The staff have been exceptional, they researched his past medical history, and tailored a diet to suit his needs, (He has a restricted passage to his stomach and cannot eat solids properly) as a result he has put on 5kgs in the last 2 months. The manager even explained how to continue this when he returns home.
The patients go on outings to the river and make sure they are never bored. The rooms are modern and my friend has views outside from his bed.
One of the things I really appreciate is the personalized care he is given, and knowing I can call the manager, and discuss his welfare at any time, and that she will take the time to explain things to me clearly, without feeling that I am being a bother.
It is a lovely environment and I am very happy he is recovering there
