Loddon Mallee South is part of the Uniting AgeWell Community, which has been providing senior services in the Loddon Mallee region for more than 40 years.
Our services include Home Care Packages, carer and respite support and social support.
Home Care Packages support you at home with assistance such as personal & domestic care, clinical care, assistive technology, support with shopping, gardening or attending a social activity, and other community support. The amount of support provided to you depends on the Home Care Package level you receive.
Respite support assists carers in taking regular breaks from their at times challenging roles. They may be experiencing difficulties balancing their employment, study or leisure time with their care responsibilities and need time to recharge.
Carers do not need to be living with the person they are caring for to be eligible for the program.
The program also provides a stimulating environment for the person being cared for.
Strath-Haven Day Respite and Social Support enables clients to meet and socialise with others through enjoyable activities that aim to maintain physical and emotional wellbeing.
Flexible social programs, including centre-based activities and community outings, are tailored to support individual needs with a focus on positive ageing.
Strath-Haven’s Day Respite and Social Support are available to people living in the community who are:
- over the age of 65, or over 50 for Indigenous Australians
- living with dementia/memory loss or other age-related challenges
- assisted by a carer
- frail aged
