Victorian senior achiever awards open

Nominations for the Premier’s Award for Victorian Senior of the Year 2008, and for Senior Achievers Awards are now open, and will recognise and celebrate the contribution senior Victorians make to their communities.

The nominations close on 10 August 2008, and award winners will be announced at a reception at Government  House, on 3 October in a lead up to the Victorian Seniors Festival, which runs from 5 October to 12 October 2008.

To be eligible, nominees must be 60 years of age and over, residents of Victoria, and meet the criteria in the nomination form, which is available from Seniors Information Victoria, 247 Little Collins St, Melbourne.
