Victorian Savewater Awards
These annual awards, which recognise and reward achievement in the sustainable management of our precious water supplies, are now open for 2006. The savewater! awards® raise awareness about people’s impressive efforts to conserve water and inspires others to follow their lead. The savewater! awards® seek to:
· acknowledge and facilitate the promotion of excellence in sustainable water practices;
· encourage innovation and action by community, business and government organisations; and
· further the cause of sustainability through water practices
The savewater! awards® are open to all Victorians. However for the first time in 2006, one category – ‘product innovation’ – will be open to entrants nationally.
Individuals or community groups can enter the Community Action Award-For community leadership in water conservation.The winner of this award will have achieved outstanding water savings and will have demonstrated a long-term commitment to efficient water use.
