Vic state run nursing homes monitored for standards compliance
Six state-run nursing homes – mainly in rural areas of Victoria – are being monitored after failing to meet minimum standards set by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency during inspections in 2006.
Another nine state homes had failed to meet at least one of the 44 standards set by the Agency but have taken steps to ensure compliance.
Victoria’s 195 public aged care providers care for 6,500 residents.
