Two of South Australia’s aged care professionals, Susan Emerson, the Metropolitan Care Services Manager for Helping Hand Aged Care Inc and Jane Mussared, the Health and Community Services General Manager for ACH Group, both from South Australia, have been selected for the 2007 Sanicare’s study tour to the Netherlands and the IAHSA international aged care conference in Malta.

The two week tour, which departs Australia on 16 June, begins with the International Association of Homes and Services for the Aging 7th Annual Conference – Quality Transcends Borders: Innovations in leadership, technology and design in Malta.

The tour will then travel to Holland to observe the structure and management of the world-renowned, innovative Humanitas aged and community nursing and care in-the-home programs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

There will be a special focus on alternative aged care models, especially community care frameworks within the Dutch setting.
