Tornado hits WA nursing home

The Tanby Hall Aged Care facility in Cooloongup was hit  by a mini-tornado in southern

Perth on 9 June.

 

Its roof was smashed and removed by the storm and 28 residents of the 52-bed facility were affected.

 

Two residents were taken to hospital for on-going treatment, and 26 were relocated with family and friends.

 

Fortunately,no one was hurt as a result of the mini-tornado.
