Achieving outstanding human resources management at both their St George and Sutherland Shire sites has been rewarded by winning a prestigious state based industry award for excellence last week.
The Exceptional Human Resources Management Award is sponsored by the ‘Voice Project’ and is presented by the Aged & Community Services Association.
The award recognises positive staff engagement, innovation and technology. Recipients need to have developed an industry best practice in empowering their team with IT skills. The prestigious award is open to all aged care providers state wide.
The awards ceremony was held at the Parkroyal Parramatta and was the first event of the NSW state conference.
Thomas Holt chief executive, Alexandra Zammit, said the team were “extremely proud” to win the award.
Thomas Holt employs more than 140 staff, providing a range of services for more than 300 elderly people including supporting older Australians to live independently at home through to 24 hours residential care.
“It takes a strong working relationship with our team to ensure the best service to our residents. We would like to thank the peak body for recognising organisations committed to supporting older Australians. Awards like this recognise the efforts of the entire team,” Ms Zammit said.
“A strong team environment allows us to focus all our resources on what we do best: taking care of our clients at an affordable price with the highest possible level of quality,” she added.
