The gift of safety this Christmas

With Christmas around the corner, the increasing number of Australians with family members who are older or have health conditions may have found the ideal present – one that literally gives the gift of year round connection, independence and peace of mind for Australian families.

The ‘SOS Mobile Watch’, created by mCareWatch, is a discreet, lightweight watch that also works as a mobile phone, GPS monitoring and emergency/medical alert system.

It can be linked to the smartphones of up to three family members or carers, so they can easily find their loved one if there’s a concern, call him or her at any time – and be immediately alerted if there’s a problem via the phone’s SOS button.

It also has a ‘two way speaker’ that can be triggered to enable communication even if the wearer doesn’t answer the phone.

The SOS Mobile Watch offers a major advantage over conventional pendant-style ‘personal alert’ systems because it doesn’t confine wearers to a limited area such as their home. Instead, it links with the mobile phone network, so wearers can enjoy freedom and independence while staying connected with carers wherever there is mobile phone coverage – equating to 97% of the Australian population, as well as many international locations.

In the months since its release in May this year, the SOS Mobile Watch has already proved a literal lifesaver for many families – as well as providing vital connections and enabling conversations that family members may otherwise not have had. It has also been adopted by some of Australia’s major health and aged care organisations to support their clients’ independence and wellbeing.

This Christmas mCareWatch is offering the gift of freedom, independence and peace of mind that so many families are seeking.

The SOS Mobile Watch can be purchased online from mCareWatch or over the phone by calling 1300 188 557.

Families can choose from two affordable payment options: $399 upfront; or $39 per month plus $69 set-up costs.

The SOS Mobile Watch arrives ready-to-use: pre-charged, pre-programmed with the nominated carers’ numbers and ready to link with the relevant Smartphones or Android mobiles through the Google App Stores.

Both payment options cover the watch, charger, two batteries and an easy-to-follow user guide plus call, SMS and data charges for the first year: minimum six minutes of voice calls from the phone (calls made to the phone are charged to callers’ phones) 30 SMS TXT messages and 1MB of data.

Find out more about the SOS Mobile Watch or call 1300 188 557.
