The evolving role of grandparents

Californian publication, Palo Alto Online News, has posted an in-depth feature on the changing nature of grandparents.

Their findings show grandparents are finding more ways of connecting with their families than ever before.

Using web cams, email and online photo galleries allows an increasing number of grandparents to keep in touch with grandchildren far away.

Some seniors reported using technology to help them be a better grandparent: by researching toys, activities and holiday ideas for their grandkids.

The article shows that seniors are taking an active role in grandparenting, as seen through the experiences of Californian grandparents.
