Telstra Connected Seniors grants

Community organisations and those involved with older people such as residential aged care facilities are invited to apply for grants under the Telstra Connected Seniors $3 million grant program to help older Australians use mobile and internet technology to improve communication and social interaction, and enable them to confidently use the internet and mobile phones.

The Telstra Connected Seniors program will be provided in three tiers, to provide community organisations the opportunity to participate –

Tier 1: Local Community Grants $1,000 – $5000. There are two othertiers, state and national. Go to www.telstraseniors.com.au to find more details, including the application form and a sample completed application form. This grants offer is not limited to computers; it can include mobile phones and more.

Round one closes on 14 September 2007 and results will be announced by 1 October 2007. Preference will be given to applications in the order received and with programs scheduled to commence October 2007. There will be a second round a couple of months later.
