Tasmanian aged care facility to close
The Pleasant Pines Aged Care Facility in Claremont, Southern Tasmania, operated by the Tasmanian Deaf Society in conjunction with Uniting Aged Care, is to close.
The regional manager of Uniting Aged Care, Dale Eastley, said it will close some time after Christmas because of decreasing demand and increasing costs.
He said the aged-care industry is working to find new homes for the 30 residents.
