Survey participants wanted in Qld
Queensland residents are being invited to take part in a study which is looking at important legal documents.
Completing enduring power of attorney documents (EPAs) and advance health directives (AHDs) allows adults to be involved in financial, health and personal decisions even after decision-making capacity is lost.
It is important that these forms remain accessible, user-friendly and as effective as possible for those who use them.
The School of Social Work and Human Services at the University of Queensland currently have a research project that aims to explore any issues associated with Queensland’s EPA and AHD forms and suggest improvements to government.
Improved forms are likely to be easier to complete and more effective for those who depend on them as decision-making instruments when decision-making capacity is lost or at risk of being lost.
If you have been involved in the completion or use of a Queensland EPA or AHD in the past two years and are interested in participating in a research project, contact Carlie Rocco on (07) 3346 7314 or email c.rocco@uq.edu.au for further information.
