Support for Aged Care Training (SACT) program

Funding is now available under the Support for Aged Care Training (SACT) program for short course training places for personal care workers in eligible aged care services in rural and regional Australia.

Eligible aged care services are:

  • Residential aged care facilities in rural and remote locations that are eligible for, or in receipt of, the Viability Supplement under the Aged Care Act 1997.
  • Multipurpose Services as defined under the Aged Care Act 1997 and Aged Care Principles 1999 that are eligible for, or in receipt of, the Viability Supplement.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flexible aged care services which have at least one residential place and are operating under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Aged Care Strategy 1994.
