Studying Aussie seniors

The Universities of Queensland and Western Australia have joined forces to draw together two existing large-scale studies on older people.
These studies both seek to determine what contributes to older people’s health and quality of life.
The ‘Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health’ and the Perth ‘Health in Men Study’ both involve over 12,000 older people.
Consumer involvement is being assisted by the National Seniors Association which is contributing to these studies with a National Seniors representative on the national policy advisory group overseeing the project.
