Seniors groups receive Government funding
The Howard Government has announced funding support for two groups representing seniors, in recognition of the growing number and diversity of older Australians and the importance of receiving well-researched and considered policy advice.
COTA Over 50s Ltd will receive $350,000, National Seniors Association will receive $200,000, to support the national secretariats for these organisations and to assist their advocacy and representation.
The money has been made available through the Community Sector Support Scheme.
