The 2009 Ekka has kicked off and Queensland seniors are being encouraged to check out this year’s show before major changes begin to take place.
After 134 years, the RNA Showgrounds will transform into a residential, commercial and recreational facility open year-round to the public. Highlights at this year’s Ekka include the Interactive Backyards where people can walk through an old-style country garden and a modern garden as well as the Ten Tenors Sunset Concert on Sunday 9 August.
Taste-testing of food and wine in the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion is also sure to be popular.
Seniors Day at the Ekka will be held on 13 August where Pension/Senior Card holders will receive $13 entry. For more information visit http://www.ekka.com.au
