The younger generation can learn a lot from their parents and grandparents on how to save money.

According to a recent study, older people do not struggle as much as young people when they are faced with a “tight budget”.

Researchers say younger people can learn a lot from seniors when it comes to learning about being thrifty and “getting by” on a small amount of pension or income.

Living within their means, older people are reportedly better at saving money than younger age groups, who reportedly tend to have the mentality of “buy now and pay later”.

“For many old people – they have very much what’s considered to be an old-fashioned approach to finances,” researchers begin. “You just don’t get into debt, and you don’t spend what you haven’t got,” they add.
