SA seniors’ concessions welcomed

In the current election campaign, state Premier, Mike Rann, has increased utility concessions for older South Australians, responding to pressure from seniors’ groups.
“This is the second victory for seniors in the last few weeks, following on from the increase in the Land Tax threshold, which was also one of National Seniors’ election priorities,” National Seniors spokesman, Paul Vesteerge said.
The increase in concessions includes a commitment to increase utility concessions by 5% each year until 2012.
