SA aged care group gets largest allocation for aged care

SA not-for-profit aged care provider, ACH Group, has received the largest allocation in the latest round of Federal and State Government aged care funding.

It was awarded $1.78 million, which will allow an additional 386 older South Australians access to support services such as in-home and respite care.

ACH Group runs a range of aged care facilities across South Australia, including properties for independent living, nursing homes and hostels.

Chief executive officer, Dr Mike Rungie, said the funding would have a positive impact on the lives of older South Australians.

“Support services in South Australia to help older people maintain their independence are now more far-reaching than ever before,” Dr Rungie said.

“These services are tailored to specific needs and will be delivered throughout Adelaide. They cater to the requirements of a broad cross section of the community, including people with dementia, disabilities and those with cultural or language barriers.”
