Review of fees charged for community care
The Department of Health and Ageing is to review the fees charged in community care, as part of its reforms planned for the sector which have been outlined in the Policy Paper New Strategy for Community Care – The Way Forward.
Currently fees charged for community care services vary from state to state. Urbis Keys Young has been engaged to work with the sector and find out how fees are currently structured. They will also research Australian and international fee policies and collection practices relating to community care. This project is scheduled to finish in June 2007.
