Reverse mortgage issues investigated
SEQUAL, the body that represents the reverse mortgage industry, has provided key government, community and financial services stakeholders with a snapshot of the industry.
Key consumer concerns included: the awareness of the product and possible pitfalls; broker commissions; the need for the legal fraternity to better inform their clients; and the difficulty seniors have in obtaining comparative information.
