Retirement village residents love the lifestyle
Residents of Australia’s burgeoning retirement villages love the lifestyle, the security, the surrounds and the neighbours according to an independent survey undertaken for the Retirement Village Association (RVA).
A total of 98% said they were happy with the privacy their village offered while still feeling safe and secure.
Even in a drought more than 80% said they were proud of the gardens, landscaping and presentation of the village.
Almost everyone questioned (93%) were confident in their village’s emergency call system but only 24% had needed to use their system in the past 12 months.
More than 1,000 residents were surveyed for the RVA as part of its accreditation process for its more than 450 village members throughout Australia.
Most of those surveyed had lived in their village for up to five years.
