Retirement village proposal for Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne
A retirement village development is being considered by Moonee Valley Racing Club following Moonee Valley Council’s decision to allow a broader land zone use on the existing racetrack site.
The racecourse sits on 98 acres with some sections, such as the car park on McPherson St, under utilised.
A retirement village for over 60s could co-exist and complement the venue’s other activities such as racing and catering, according to club officials.
