Restructure of Tasmanian health facilities
Tasmanian Health Minister, Lara Giddings, has proposed setting up centres of excellence in the state’s three public hospitals as recommended in the 2004 Richardson Report.
She plans to consolidate specialised services such as eye surgery and neo-natal intensive care, now duplicated at up to four campuses.
