Resource manual for quality indicators in Vic public sector residential aged care services
Since July 2006 the Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services Unit in Victoria has been participating in an initiative that involves collecting, reporting and benchmarking data on a set of quality indicators relating to the clinical areas of: pressure ulcers, falls and fractures, use of physical restraint, multiple medication use, and unplanned weight loss.
The purpose of the project was to develop and introduce practical, meaningful measures to assist services and improve resident care.
