Report on state of dental care in Australia
The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) has released Fair Dental Care, a report on the state of dental care in Australia.
It says that 500,000 low income Australians are on waiting lists for public dental care with an average waiting time of 27 months.
Among those most likely to be in pain and unable to access dental treatment are older people, people living in nursing homes and people living in rural and remote areas.
