Report into Home and Community Care program

The NSW Parliament Public Accounts Committee has released a report titled Inquiry into Home and Community Care (HACC) Program.
The report concentrates on:
· Delays with HACC annual plans and the resultant delays in release of funding.
· Difficulties measuring the level of unmet need for community care services.
· Inefficiencies in Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care processes such as acquittals.
· Reviewing the performance of the Home Care Service especially in the light of its response to the NSW Auditor General’s report in 2005.
