Red Cross reassuring phone service

The Australian Red Cross is helping elderly people stay safe by giving them a reassuring daily phone call to ensure that they are safe and well.
If the phone call is not answered, Red Cross initiates an emergency procedure and arranges assistance if required. The Telecross service provides peace of mind to clients and their families, and allows the elderly and housebound to maintain their independence for as long as possible.
The program is run by a team of volunteers and operates in every state and territory in Australia. People can refer themselves or be referred by a relative, friend or health professional.
To find out more, phone your state or territory Red Cross office.
