Radio isotopes can set off airport security alarms
Travellers who have been treated with radio-isotopes up to 95 days before travel, can set off security alarms at places like airports, according to the British Medical Journal.
A 46 year old man who set off alarms at a Florida airport was detained and strip searched before it was discovered that he had received treatment six weeks before the check.
Doctors needed to tell patients of their radioactive status after treatment.
