Qld Guardianship law review

The Queensland Law Reform Commission has been asked to make the Guardianship laws better and they are undertaking this task in three parts.
Step one is to look at the role of confidentiality in the guardianship system;
Step two is to review the General Principles; and
Step three is to examine the rest of the Guardianship laws.
The Commission has launched a Discussion paper, a Companion paper and two papers relating to key questions for people who may need help with decision making as well as key questions for families, friends and advocates. These papers can be downloaded at www.qlrc.qld.gov.au/guardianship/publications.htm.
