The $12 million architecturally designed extension to the existing Willow Wood home in Cranbourne, Victoria, promises to offer premium hotel-style amenities, such as 56 new single ensuite rooms, a resident and family cafe with children’s play area and alfresco dining, an avant-garde hairdressing salon, tiered theatre/cinema, gym, day spa, mini-golf green, man cave, and sensory garden, whilst maintaining the warmth of home.

Lifeview Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Madeline Gall says the organisation is very excited to be offering this level of amenity to the local community, and to have had the support of Tommy Little in the official opening event.

“Every element of this new extension has been thought through with the end user in mind,” she says.

“Common areas are designed to cater for all mobility and cognitive levels, including wide passageways, ensuites featuring sensor lighting, external areas are accessible to residents via automated doors, there are bedside USB charging points, and display cabinets to the entrance of each room, just to name a few.

“For the past 12 years Lifeview Willow Wood has been an important part of the fabric of the local community here in Cranbourne, and has been very successful in terms of the quality of care and award winning lifestyle program it delivers.”

Comedian Tommy Little also shared his praise for the facility and organisation.

“I love everything about Lifeview, their staff are amazing, and their residents warm my soul,” he says.

“They are so full of spice and keep me on my toes with their razor sharp, and often quite filthy, sense of humour.

“I’ve also never officially opened anything before, so this is an absolute treat and honour.”

The opening of the new extension has also created around 50 new healthcare and hospitality jobs for the area.
