People are being encouraged to plant a memory this Valentine’s Day as part of Alzheimer’s Australia’s Fight Dementia campaign. The team from Alzheimer’s Australia will be at various locations on Thursday to ramp up support of the campaign.

You can show your support by filling out a memory for the organisation’s Memory Tree and enjoy Valentine’s Day chocolates and the Polaroid photo station.

Last year Alzheimer’s Australia had thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to political leaders, urging them to put themselves into the shoes of the 1.2 million people who care for someone with dementia and think about what it would be like if their loved one couldn’t remember them on Valentine’s Day.
