People are being encouraged to plant a memory this Valentine’s Day as part of Alzheimer’s Australia’s Fight Dementia campaign.

The team from Alzheimer’s Australia will be at various locations on Thursday to ramp up support of the campaign.

You can show your support by filling out a memory for the organisation’s Memory Tree and enjoy Valentine’s Day chocolates and the Polaroid photo station.

Locations and times of the Valentine’s Day event this Thursday are listed below:

VIC Federation square 12pm – 2pm

NSW Wynyard Park 8am – 1pm

ACT ANU 9.30-4pm

WA Murray St Mall – Forrest Place 8.30 am – 1pm

SA Rundle Mall 10am – 1pm

TAS Salamanca Square 10am – 1pm

QLD Queen St Mall 10am – 1pm

NT Casuarina Square 10am – 1pm

If you can’t make it to the Valentine’s Day event, send your memory to the Alzheimer’s Australia team and they will hang it for you! Email Alzheimer’s Australia at fightdementia@alzheimers.org.au

Last year Alzheimer’s Australia had thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to political leaders, urging them to put themselves into the shoes of the 1.2 million people who care for someone with dementia and think about what it would be like if their loved one couldn’t remember them on Valentine’s Day.
